Do you know the difference between a query, mail list, message board?

This format provide a means for submitting a query.

When you subscribe to a mail list you also submit a query but in a list format for subscribers to see and reply to via email.

Message boards are a means of submitting a message in an open format - no subscription necessary. Both message boards and mail lists are usually moderated to reduce spam and nuisance submissions.

14-02 Graham I am looking for information about a Catherine Graham, whom I believe was living in Red Bluff around 1865. I believe she had a daughter while living in Red Bluff in January, 1865. She was married to James Edward Graham who we know was in San Francisco at this time working. In their letters they refer to a Margaret. Could be a relative of either of them or just a friend.
