Birth Date: 8 Jan 1880
Birthplace: California (Oakdale)
Death Date: 28 May 1956
Death Place: San Joaquin
Mother's Maiden Name: Bakker
Father's Surname: Kattestaart

Her family is in the 1880 Oakdale Census (surname mis-spelled):

Kees Kattistaart, 38, Birthplace: South Holland
Mary Kattistaart, 36, Birthplace: South Holland
Maria Kattistaart, 9, dau
Everet Kattistaart, 6, son
Jacob Kattistaart, 4, son
Ryyer Kattistaart, 2, son
Annie Kattistaart, 5M, dau
Annie Schethas, 61, m-i-l

She married Ernest August Scharnhorst, a younger brother of my great grandmother, Julia, sometime between 1900 and 1910, and had a child, Ernest Otto in 1921.  The last I know of them is from the 1930 census, when they lived on land (near Los Banos) patented by her husband's older brother Louis, who died in 1907. Ernest died in 1907.    After his death, she re-married, but I have (yet) found no information about that.

Birth Date: 1863
Birthplace: California (Tuolumne Co, likely China Camp)
Death Date: 1899
Death Place: Oakdale

Here are two fotos of the gravestone for Albert Scharnhorst, 1863-1899, buried in the Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.  He is the 5th of 10 children of Fred Henry and Josephine Scharnhorst.  Father born in Hanover, and immigrated around 1850.  Mother born in California of parents born in Mexico and California.  As far as I know, Albert never married.  He is the younger brother of my gr grandmother Julia, who married Carl Johann (aka Charles) Ekstedt, had at least a couple of children in the Oakdale-Stockton area, then migrated to the Puget Sound area in Washington State.
