Pioneer Data Submittal Form

Please note: Although it is most unlikely that you will experience any problems responding to this form, certain non-standard browsers will not respond properly. Just a couple notes for submitting pioneer data: Fill out only one form per pioneer.

Please pay CLOSE ATTENTION to the character count allowed for each input item. This count includes spaces. Just in case the form allows you to input more characters, when it's imported into my database, your entire form input will be deleted automatically because of too many characters. TIP: It helps to input long names as: Oliver, JaneElizabet.

Only submit pioneers who, themselves, located in California in 1880 or before. Any submittals with settlement years beyond 1880 are automatically deleted.

Only submit pioneers who, themselves, were born on or before the settlement year. If a pioneer's family settled in 1872, for example, but the pioneer was born in Iowa in 1877, then the settlement year is 1877 ... not 1872.

Pioneer's Name: 21 chars (Please type last name IN CAPS, a comma & space, then the first name or question mark if first name is unknown in lower case.)

If first name is known but not last name, then type a question mark, a comma & space, and the first name. If entire name or marital status is not known, please type "unknown". If known to be single, type "never married.")

Birth Year of Pioneer: 5 chars (A minus sign "-" after the year, means before the year shown. A plus "+" sign, means after the year shown. A question mark after the date, means date not certain. A question mark without any date, means the date is unknown.)

Settlement Year of Pioneer: 5 chars (A minus sign "-" after the year, means before the year shown. A plus "+" sign, means after the year shown. A question mark after the date, means date not certain. A question mark without any date, means the date is unknown.) 

Settled Year:

Location where Pioneer Settled: 15 chars (if not known, please type "unknown") 

Town or Township:

County Code where Pioneer Settled: 2 chars (if not known, please type "??") For a Short List of the County Codes.

Your Contact Name: 8 chars (Use the 8 digit acronym from your contact information submission; i.e.: LRandal)

Please note that Internet Explorer or some other browsers will give you an error message after you click "submit" and ask if you want to continue. Click continue. The forms work just fine from that point, and I receive them with no problem.
