Political Map of CaliforniaLassen County is a “red” (primarily conservative republican) county. Lassen County supported George W. Bush in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. In the November 2000 race, (countywide) 7,080 people voted for Bush and 2,982 voted for Gore. Nader received 339 votes.

Voters: Measured by the count of citizens age 18 and older at the time of the 2000 census, Plumas County has 26,189 potential voters (17,207 or 65.7% male and 8,982 or 34.3% female).
