The Scotts Valley school district was formed about 1870 from the southern part of the Blue Lakes School District and adjoining territory. By 1881 the district had 60 children.
About 1880 Lafayette Sailor deeded the land the schoolhouse was on to the school district.
In 1923 the school was purchased by the Scotts Valley Social and Improvement Club.
In 1940 it became the property of the Scotts Valley Farm Center.
In 1941, the old building was torn down and later a new building was erected, known as the Community Clubhouse.
