The Rev. John Murdock will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Salmon came to Bakersfield 42 years ago from Coal Creek, Colo. He was a pioneer in the Kern oil industry and at the time of his death was employed by Edison Oil Co. Edison. Mr. Salmon passed away Saturday at a local hospital after an illness of 2 weeks. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Esther Davis Salmon; a daughter, Mrs. John Haddon of Santa Monica; two grandchildren, Joan and Jacqueline Haddon; and two brothers, William Salmon, Fullerton and David Salmon of Florence, Colo. Nettie Richards of Kern City, Mrs. Salmon's daughter said her mother was born in Pennsylvania on Dec. 20, 1877. She moved to CA after the turn of the century. Her husband, who died in 1943, worked in the Kern oil fields and was associated with General Petroleum. Mrs. Salmon lived in Fullerton for 46 years, until moving to Bakersfield 3 years ago, about the same time her son Wilfred died. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society. Eva N. Morales Eva N. Morales of Ridgecrest died on Friday, May 18, at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. She was 80.  Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Holland & Lyons Chapel. The funeral will be on Thursday, May 24, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church. She worked for Starkist Tuna as a fish cleaner until her retirement. He was 61.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Lasky Longtime Lone Pine resident Amanda M. Lasky died May 10, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nev.  She was 89.  She was born in Colorado on June 13, 1911.  She is survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Ms. Lasky will be interred at Mt. Whitney cemetery in Lone Pine after private family services. She was 89.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Holland & Lyons Chapel. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, May 23, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. She lived in Decatur, Ill., prior to moving to Ridgecrest in 1971.  Her family says this about her: "She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a member of the Sonshine Singers. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Melvin Branson and Alvin Branson; and four sisters, Zelma Woodruff, Evelyn Pinnell, Ina Murdick and Mamie Lee Branson."  Mrs. Frederickson is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. and June Frederickson of Ridgecrest; son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Mary Carole Frederickson of Sunnyvale; brother, Elmo Branson of Arnold, Mo.; brother, Glen Branson of Farmington, Mo.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Holland & Lyons Mortuary, 371-1376, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Verdie Mae Fair Verdie Mae Fair, a 50-year resident of Trona, died in Riverside on Tuesday, May l. She was 94.  Services were held on Saturday, May 5, at Loma Linda Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Melissa Crawford officiated. Interment was at Montecito Memorial Park in Loma Linda.  Mrs. Fair was born Feb. 22, 1907, in Doeville, Tenn., and moved to Calif. in 1928. She and her family lived in Redlands, Bloomington and Loma Linda from 1928 to 1946, when they moved to Trona. Due to failing health, she has lived with her daughter Helen in recent years.  Her family says this about her: "Mae was very devoted to her family and church and will be greatly missed by both family and friends."  Mrs. Fair was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Fair, and her eldest son, Joseph Marvin Fair.  She is survived by a sister, Bertha Lewis of Tenn.; four daughters, Dorothy Comber of La Mesa, Lillian Todd and her husband, Robert, of Bishop, Helen Sompayrac and her husband, Richard, of Riverside, and Judith Dunn of Riverside; a son, Edward Fair and wife, Viola, of Citrus Heights; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and three great, great-grandchildren.  Loma Linda Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.  Peter Christie Peter Christie of Ridgecrest died on Wednesday, May 16, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 76.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, the Rev. Glen Paden officiating. Inurnment will be at Desert Memorial Park with the U.S. Navy Honor Guard, China Lake, performing military rites.  Mr. Christie was born on June 23, 1924, in Farrell, Pa. He lived in Sharon, Pa., before moving to Ridgecrest in 1959. His military service was in the U.S. Army. He was employed at the Naval Weapons Center, China Lake, as a supply foreman until his retirement.  His family says this about him: "He was a very active member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a Sunday School teacher. After his retirement from NWC in the 1980s, he delivered meals to senior citizens. He was the 'best grandfather,' and was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Nancy."  Mr. Christie is survived by a daughter, Lois A. Christie of Ridgecrest; grandchildren, Lori Shelhart, Carlos Herrera, Melissa Exzabe, and Douglas P.J. He was 86.  Mr. See was born July 27, 1914, in Lecoma, Mo. and served in the U.S. Navy prior to World War II and also served during the Korean conflict. He worked at China Lake Naval Weapons Center as a civilian naval ordnance supervisor until his retirment, when he moved to Monrovia. He was a founding member of the Elks Lodge in Ridgecrest.  Mr. See is survived by his wife Elizabeth Marie and several close friends and family.  Services will be at 4 p.m., Thursday Jan. 31, at Douglass & Zook Mortuary Chapel in Monrovia. He was 53.  Mr. Consoli was born to Pauline and Arnold Consoli on Dec. 7, 1949, in Stockton. He was a resident of Wofford Heights for 23 years and a resident of San Jacinto for four-and-a-half years. He was a wildlife biologist for the state of California and was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  His family says this about him: "David was fortunate enough to live his life-long dream working with, and preserving wildlife. His self-chosen career, was like being on vacation everyday to him. Fry & Son, (209) 239-1242, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Jesse "Jay" Calvin Scroggins Jesse Calvin "Jay" Scroggins of Ridgecrest died Saturday, Jan. 21, in a three-vehicle accident near Adelanto. Also killed in the accident were his daughter Lorraine Cunningham, her husband Billy Joe Cunnningham, and Billie Jean Vanderpool, Mr. Scroggins' companion. He was 76.  Mr. Scroggins was born on June 14, 1924, in Collin, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and recieved the Purple Heart.  Mr. Scroggins came to Ridgecrest around 1947. He retired after 44 years of employment with Kerr McGee Chemicals. He was an active youth baseball coach and manager and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Mr. Scroggins is survived by son Charles Warren and daughter-in-law Susan of Rohnert Park; son Richard of Ridgecrest; son Dale and daughter-in-law Sheryl of Vacaville; son Steven and daughter-in-law Elizabeth of Fresno; grandchildren Shawn, Ian, Dana, Kristilyn, Jessica, Dustin, Alex and Crystal Scroggins; granddaughters Lori Slagle, Jenille and Della Cunningham and great-granddaughter Raney May Janeway.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, at All Faith Chapel. Billy Joe and Jessie Lorraine Cunningham Billy Joe and Jessie Lorraine Cunningham of Ridgecrest died Saturday, Jan. 21, in a three vehicle accident near Adelanto. Mr. Cunningham was 73, Mrs. Cunningham was 53.  Mr. Cunningham was born April 29, 1927, in Jefferson City, Mo. A former resident of Trona, he retired from employment at Kerr McGee Chemical Co. He and his wife, Jessie, were co-owners of Spring Water Company until 1997. He was an active member of the Masonic Order.  Mr. Cunningham is survived by daughters Dixie Marshall, Jenille and Della Cunningham; grandchildren Jeff and Gina Blyler and James Marshall and two great-grandchildren. He was prceeded in death by son Monte Cunningham and great-grand-daughter Sophie Vas-quez.  Mrs. Cunningham was born April 8, 1947, in Ridgecrest to parents Jessie and Goldie Scroggins. She was a key punch operator at CSC for many years prior to opening Spring Water Company with her husband, Billy. She was most recently employed by Nature's Wonder.  She is survived by daughters Lori Slagle and Jenille and Della Cunningham.  A memorial service for Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, at All Faith Chapel. 'Curly' Krick Earl L. "Curly" Krick of Olancha died on March 30, at the Southern Inyo Hospital in Lone Pine of lung disease. He was 77.  Mr. Krick was born on May 16, 1923, in S.D. He had been a resident of Olancha since 1985.  He was employed as a mail truck driver for GTE until his retirement in 1987.  Mr. Krick is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Dan Ames of Aguanga; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Phil Spinaio of Simi Valley; and a sister, Pauline Hannah; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Krick.  The family suggests that donations by made to the Lung Association.  Private services are being arranged by Owens Valley Mortuary, 876-4665, of Lone Pine.  Helen Virginia Beagle Helen Virginia (Howard) Beagle, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2001 surrounded by her family and friends at the Antelope Valley Care Center in Lancaster.  Helen mov-ed with her family to Ridgecrest in 1959. She worked at the Technical Library at Miche-son Lab until she retired to her Lake Isabella home in 1972. Helen's farm heritage was reflected in the dozens of African violets she grew and shared with her neighbors who referred to her as the "violet lady." She fulfilled a long-term dream when she learned china painting and produced many lovely pieces.  Helen had a sunny disposition, a joyful outlook and a love of life and living that she shared with all.  Carlos, her husband of 50 years, her son Tad Winslow Ewing, grandson Gregory LaChance, brother Jack Howard, Dorthea Thomas and parents Karl and Idilla Howard preceded Helen in death.  She is survived by her sisters Maxine Baker, Athla Tankersley and Margie Holmes; daughters Virlyn (Mrs. Jerrold) LaChance, Jennifer (Mrs. Daryl) Silberberg, Joette (Mrs. Alan) Chantler and Kathleen Ewing. Also surviving are grandchildren Lisa Coyle, David LaChance, Michelle LaChance, Kara Woolfork, Krista LaChance, Daryl Silberberg Jr., Jessica Auld, Jason Silberberg, Jennifer Edwards, Alicia Lewis, and Tad Chantler; great-grandchildren Trevor and Brandon Coyle; Caitlin, Sarah, CJ and Melissa Woolfork; Rhianna, Jocelyn and Zain LaChance; Alixandra, Brittany and Hannah Silberberg; Jordan Edwards and Alyssa Auld.  A visitation was held on Monday, April 2, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Holland & Lyons Mortuary. He was 79.  Mr. Adams was born on Jan. 24, 1922, in Los Angeles. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and later worked as a floral coordinator until his retirement. He had been a Ridgecrest resident since 1966.  Mr. Adams is survived by a daughter, Judy Guy of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Nancy Alred of Price, Utah; son, John Adams of Ridgecrest; son, Hollis Adams of Newberry, Ore.; close friends, Bob and Judy Tharp of Ridgecrest; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Private cremation and private services are being arranged by Holland & Lyons Mortuary, 371-1376.
